🇺🇸 In preparation for our upcoming Veterans Day assembly, Mrs. Foor's students thoughtfully created poetry dedicated to the veterans with the theme, "honoring their loyalty and service." They turned their poetry into a placemat that the veterans will use at the breakfast this morning. Through their words, they’re expressing gratitude and respect for those who have given so much. We're looking forward to sharing these meaningful tributes as a part of our celebration!

Fifth grade students practiced peer pressure refusal techniques by acting out real life scenarios. Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio has been coming to DMS to teach the Too Good For Drugs program that is funded by the Mendez Foundation. Thank you to Ms. Brown for helping our students learn to refuse peer pressure by: saying no, stating the facts, reversing the pressure, being a broken record, suggesting a better idea, walking away, steering clear, ignoring, or making an excuse.
