Foster Care
The District Foster Care Liaison is here to support students who are in foster care by helping ensure they remain enrolled in school, experience minimal disruptions, and have access to the same educational opportunities as all students. In alignment with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the liaison works with families, caregivers, caseworkers, and school staff to support smooth transitions, transportation needs, and timely transfer of school records. The goal is to promote educational stability and student success while reducing barriers to learning for students in foster care.
