Mrs. Jackie Chiesa, Board President
Jackie Chiesa joined the Pike-Delta-York Board of Education in January 2024. She has been a resident of the PDY district since 2010 and she and her husband, Tony, have a third grader in the PDY school district.
Jackie has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Interpersonal Communications from Bowling Green State University where she was also a Division 1 student-athlete, as a member of the women’s basketball program.
Professionally, Jackie has lived, worked, and/or supported organizations all over the world. Having such diverse experiences, has led to success in bringing together individuals and groups with differing perspectives to achieve common goals. Thought leadership, recruitment & retention, inclusivity, collaboration, & strong financial acumen are key attributes that Mrs. Chiesa brings to the PDY board.
As a parent of a PDY student, Jackie is dedicated to student-centered solutions, access to high-quality education for every child, and meeting the needs of the whole student. Educational equity for every PDY stakeholder, building community relationships to benefit our schools, and responsible stewardship of taxpayers dollars are Jackie’s key priorities.

Mr. Tim Ford
Tim Ford is 2002 graduate of Pike-Delta-York High School. Following graduation, he attended Miami University and completed his B.A. in Zoology. He served in the 180th Air National Guard from 2004-2012 and completed his Integrated Science licensure from the University of Toledo in 2010 and his Masters in Educational Leadership from BGSU in 2014. Tim is married to Meredith Ford, a 3rd grade special education teacher in the district with whom they share four children: Eloise, Patrick, Lucille and Frances. Tim has worked at various levels throughout education including being a High School Science teacher, Football, Wrestling, and Baseball coach, Jr High Dean, Elementary Assistant Principal, High School Assistant Supervisor, and Supervisor. Currently he is the Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel at Penta Career Center. His decision to join the PDY Board of Education is rooted in a desire to help the District and community that has given he and his family so much.

Mrs. Alice Simon
Alice Simon began her service on the Pike-Delta-York Board of Education thirteen years ago. She graduated from PDY before completing an accounting program at Owens Technical College and then a degree in Registered Nursing at Northwest State Community College. Mrs. Simon has been working as a registered nurse in the surgical department at Fulton County Health Center, both in pre-operative and post-operative patient care. Not only is Alice a Delta High School Class of 1980 aluma, she is also a proud parent of four PDY graduates and a proud grandparent of two students at Delta Elementary School! As Alice explains, she “ran for the Board of Education in 1999 while her four children were still at PDY.” At the time, she felt it was important to be involved in the hiring of a new superintendent and discussing how to best utilize district funding. She strives to help PDY “continue to provide a quality education while being fiscally responsible to the community.”
