Kindergarten Teacher

The Pike-Delta-York Local School District, in Delta, Ohio, is seeking a passionate educator to work as a kindergarten teacher at Delta Elementary School. Delta Elementary has a high performing staff and strong student body.

Qualifications: The district is looking for an elementary teacher who demonstrates initiative, is data driven, and has a track record of providing quality interventions to improve student achievement in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate must possess patience; impeccable communication skills (both written and oral) with students, parents, and staff; excellent organizational skills; great interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively; the ability to apply critical thinking skills; and the ability to multi-task.

Having background experience at the elementary school level is preferred, but not required.

The candidate must possess a valid teaching license for the position or show proof one could be obtained.

The candidate should be highly qualified to teach kindergarten, all subjects. Placement will initially be in 2-year kindergarten program.

Candidate will be expected to develop curriculum for this newly developed 2-year program.

The successful candidate will be expected to exhibit character and professionalism that reflects positively on the district.

Successful candidates must have the ability to provide an acceptable BCI/FBI background check.

Pay & Benefits: Per negotiated Master Agreement

District Aide

The Pike-Delta-York Local School District, in Delta, Ohio, is seeking an individual to work with students individually, in classroom settings, cover recess duties and other duties as needed. Pike-Delta-York Local School District recently received ODE’s Momentum Award, and the district has a high performing staff and strong student body excelling in both the classroom and extracurricular activities.

Position: District Aide

182 day contract, 7.0 hours per day

This position is considered a district-wide aide, allowing the placement of the aide in any district location as needed. To begin employment, the aide will be placed in the elementary school.

Qualifications: The candidate must possess an associate degree or higher, have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as 48 semester or 72 quarter hours as verified by a college transcript from an accredited institution of higher education) or possess a Paraprofessional license.

The candidate must possess a valid Ohio Aide permit, or have the capability of obtaining one; possessing a Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is preferred, but not required.

The Pike-Delta-York Local School District, in Delta, Ohio, is seeking an individual to work as an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and EMIS Coordinator.

Position: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent/EMIS Coordinator

Board of Education Office

260-day contract, 8.0 hours per day

Start date to occur in August

Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess impeccable communication skills with students, parents, staff and community; excellent organizational skills; great interpersonal skills; the ability to apply critical thinking skills; great time management skills; unwavering confidentiality; and the ability to multi-task.

The successful candidate must possess strong computer skills, specifically in the Microsoft Office Suite, and a strong knowledge and skill using PowerSchool or similar student information systems.

The ability to create professional looking documents and the ability to edit documents for both grammatical and spelling errors is a requirement. The ability to handle confidential matters, set priorities, and work well under pressure with attention to detail is needed. The ability to analyze collected data is important.

Successful candidates must have the ability to provide an acceptable BCI/FBI background check.

Functions: Assure the timely, accurate submission of the district’s staff and student EMIS data for state reporting; review and correct data collected for EMIS; develop, implement, and maintain a system for accurate student information collection, entry, maintenance and reporting; train district staff as required to perform student information collection, entry, maintenance, and reporting; work with appropriate district staff to monitor data to ensure consistency and accuracy; submit required data to ODE for all reporting periods; maintain records for filing district Tuition, Open Enrollment, Community School enrollment and other reports required by ODE; and perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent or his/her designees.
